|
The distance and
level measuring system LD90-3xxxx-GF, with glass fiber
coupled remote optical head, make use of the
principle of laser ray time of flight (transmission and reception) to
determine the distance from a remote target. The glass fiber can be from 10
to 100 meters long. The head pointing on a target can be simplified by a red
point sight or a telescope (optional accessories). The data about the
distance come out from a serial port allowing the connection to a PC and can
be read on a LED display (optional).
Main advantages
- The
optical head contains no electronics and is therefore extremely small,
lightweight, inexpensive, high-temperature resistant and insensitive
against electromagnetic and ionizing radiations.
- The
optical head can be installed in explosion-endangered areas, whereas
the electronics can be remotely installed in a protected area.
- The
glass fiber cable provides a galvanic insulation between the optic
head and the electronics box.
- The
installation and the replacement of system components are easy and
inexpensive.
